VINCE.
Currently, I work as the Designer for Women’s Cut and Sew Knits at VINCE. The Director, Laura Schaefer, and I work collaboratively to design the mainline collections. In this role, I focus on developing concepts, trend research, perfecting designs during our fittings, maintaining linesheets and BOM’s and producing best sellers each season. I successfully lead the category for 6 months while my Laura was on maternity leave which gave me the opportunity to take on full leadership of the PS26 and SP27 mainline collections. Part of my job includes going on inspiration trips to NYC and all over the LA area. The made for outlet collection is designed and lead by me.
Work Experience
GUESS?, Inc.
Selected as the Men’s Design Intern for GUESS? Inc, I was immersed in every aspect of denim menswear. I was given a personal project to create and present seven denim looks to CEO Paul Marciano. I worked closely with the Men’s Global Senior Design Director, Andrew Melford, and Men’s Designer, Eric Powers, to produce samples of my designs with the in-house sewing team and laundry. Through first hand experience with my project and mentorship from Eric and Andrew, I learned the process from design to production. Six of the Seven pieces I presented were approved by Paul Marciano to be put into production.
ECKHAUS LATTA
During the summer of 2019, 2020 and Part-time in the summer of 2021, I was the Apparel Design Intern for Eckhaus Latta. While working for them I helped drape and draft patterns, mostly for knit materials which included calculating knit patterns. I gained experience selecting fabrics for upcoming collections and swatch cards. I also helped back stage at the SS 2020 fashion show in NYC, organized inventory, and selected images for inspiration boards.
